Community Guidelines
Last updated:October 20, 2026
Selah Rooted groups exist to read Scripture together inside the app. Selah is non-denominational, so people arrive from many traditions. These guidelines keep that possible.
Be respectful
- Harassment, bullying, threats, hate speech, slurs and personal attacks are not allowed.
- Disagreement about Scripture is welcome; mocking someone's beliefs, doubts or background is not.
- Argue with the idea, never with the person.
Keep it about the study
- Scripture questions, explanations and encouragement belong here.
- No spam, repeated promotion, sales pitches, fundraising, or recruiting for another group or product.
- Do not post long arguments unrelated to the passage in order to derail a study.
Protect each other's privacy
- Never share another person's personal information, phone number, screenshot or private message without their clear permission.
- Avoid sharing sensitive personal information in group discussions — anything posted in a group can be seen by everyone in it.
- Prayer requests are shared only with the person's consent, and what is asked in prayer stays in the group.
How moderation works
- The host of a group moderates that group and sets its topic and tone.
- Selah administrators can review group content, edit or remove messages, and suspend or revoke a person's access to a group or to Selah.
- Serious or repeated violations end participation in the group. Decisions can be questioned through the Contact Us form, and access can be restored.
Not a crisis service
Selah groups and support chat are not emergency or counseling services. If you or someone else may be in danger, contact local emergency services right away.
Questions or reports
Use the Contact Us form in the footer, or emailgenesissoundworks@yahoo.com, to report a message or ask how a decision was made.[Owner/legal review needed:tell me if you want a stated review timeframe for moderation decisions]
